In a few days Mni Sota Makoce: The Land of the Dakota will be published by the Minnesota Historical Society Press. The book is the result of a collaborative four-year project among people of different backgrounds and training, to study the heritage of the Dakota people in Minnesota and their connection to the land. The goal of this website is to provide more information on the subject of Dakota land history and the sources used in writing the book.
